No Place Like Home Contest!

I apologize for not having been around for a few days, but I worked at KawaKon, an anime/Japanese culture convention here in St. Louis during that time. And when I say worked, I mean worked my ass off and my fingers to the bone! lol

But it's all over now, and so is my participation with the convention (which may not happen again anyway), so to make up for my absence and to celebrate being home in my own bed (Yay! Hotels are nice, but they're not really conducive to sleep!), let's have a contest! The rules are simple -

1) Be a follower

2) Comment on my blog and tell me why there's no place like home

3) Don't forget to give me your email addy!

The winner will receive his or her choice of my books!

I'll run the contest until midnight Sunday, March 25th.

Good luck!

♥ Julie

  2. Ooh~ Nice~
I'm anticipating Anime Expo here in L.A. It's the one thing I look most forward to during this time of year. haha... disgustingly hot, humid summer is only a happy and tolerable time for me because it means Expo is right around the corner! Eek! Having Hotel troubles ATM but everything else seems to be right on track. heh... anyways, how was the crowd? Did you see any good cosplays?

    *cough*
sorry for my blather, and thank you for the contest!!

Heh, There is no place like home because It's the one place, you can truly be at peace and speak your mind. Sit in a corner and sulk, cry out loud and pick your nose if you want without any judgement or looks. It's just.... home. The only place anyone is ever truly comfortable.

    1. There were some very good cosplayers. Aladdin and Jasmine spring to mind - everyone oohed and aahed when they came in. There were some cute Sebastians from Black Butler. There was a big bulky Snorlax. There was an Old Spice Guy, in nothing but a towel lol. And stupid me forgot my camera!

There has been some negative feedback and some positive. Personally, my daughter and I quit the staff, so we won't be back next year. But there are other conventions here, and hopefully we can get into a yaoi convention.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I had heard the convention was good. Some friends of mine went and loved it!

Glad you are back home...There is no place like home.
Home is the place you can lock you self up in and forget what is waiting outside the door. It can give you peace, solitude, and at time quiet reflection. But most importantly, It is where you lay your head at night. In your own bed!

    1. I'm glad your friends had fun! Ask them if they attended either Rocky Horror, Repo! or Dr. Horrible - I ran those lol

I really missed my bed! It's hard for me to sleep in a hotel - too dang quiet!

      Thanks for stopping by!

  5. There's no place like home: because it's the only place I can be ME with out wondering who's looking at me sidewards. ;)
    Besides that where my kids are. I don't have to wonder if they're looking at me sideways. I know they are and they'll gladly tell me what a nut I really am. LOL I love those guys. ;
