Release Day - When Will I Be Loved

Today is an exciting day for me. It's the release day for When Will I Be Loved, the sequel to When Will I See You Again, two books which are very close to my heart.

First, I want to say thank you someone, without whom this book would never have come to be, because frankly I never intended to write it. Shorty Chelle, you're the one who asked me about Miller's happy ending, and said didn't he deserve one. Well, here it is, and I owe it all to you. Thanks so much, Shorty!  *hugs*

Secondly, thanks to Will Parkinson, of Pride Promotions,  for helping me through the promotion jitters and for setting everything up. This is a first for me. I've never done a promo tour before.

Now, let me show you the cover.

You met one of the main characters from this book in the first one - Miller Fenwick. Best friend of Alexx Jameson, and receptionist at the Crescent Bay Chronicle. In this book, you'll meet his other half (even if he doesn't know it yet) - Holt Wynne, head of Helios - one of the largest vampire groups in the country.  Wait, I happen to have one of Holt's business cards. Let me show you.

Pretty unusual for vampires to embrace the sun in such a way. Wonder what they have in mind?

Today begins the virtual book tour for When Will I Be Loved, as well as a virtual book blast.

Want a little peek at what it's about?

Blurb:

Fairy tales can come true…

Miller Fenwick wants the kind of happy ending his best friend got, with the hunky werewolf of his dreams. Trouble is, there doesn’t seem to be a Prince Charming on the horizon, and casual encounters don’t cut it anymore. Now that Alexx and Raoul are engaged, Miller is becoming resigned to being the bridesmaid, never the bride. But a chance encounter with a sexy stranger at Charisma has his hopes soaring, and his heart is wide open to possibilities.

Holt Wynne is the head of Helios, the largest vampire organization in the country. He’s a very influential and wealthy man, with a deep-seated hatred of werewolves. His running into Miller at Charisma isn’t entirely accidental. He’d meant to wait, but his emotions got the better of him, and he couldn’t stay away. And now see what he’s done…

Wait until Miller finds out he’s sortof just gotten married to the sexy vampire who hates the people who are Miller’s best friends. Sparks are gonna fly—and not just in the bedroom. One thing for sure—life in Crescent Bay is never dull!

Excerpt:

Miller forced himself to take a breath, unaware until he did that he’d stopped breathing.

Quit being ridiculous. Wine going to your head already?

But he’d only had the one glass. And he hadn’t even finished that. He wasn’t such a lightweight, when it came to holding his alcohol, and he knew it.

He told himself it was just his imagination. But just to be safe, he began a slow cautious turn, looking around him, without appearing to be searching for anything—or anyone.

And there he was.

Standing a heartbeat away from Miller was one of the sexiest men he’d ever seen in his life. A man every bit as sexy as Raoul Marchand, although not in the same feral way as the werewolf.

This man was light where Raoul was dark. His hair was a honey blonde which stood out by virtue of being obviously natural, in a place where most blondes were either created by the sun or came from a bottle. He stood a little taller than Miller, exuding a presence that went beyond the merely physical, possessed of the bearing and mien of a veritable god.

But it was his eyes that drew Miller in and held him spellbound. Blue and green, like staring into tropical waves, flecked with bits of pure molten gold. And the way he was staring at Miller was sending the most delicious shivers traveling up and down his spine.

The man took a step toward Miller, his hand outstretched. Before Miller quite realized what had happened, he’d placed his own hand inside of the other man’s, and he found himself being drawn onto the dance floor.

My Sexy Saturday: When Will I Be Loved

This week's theme fits perfectly with my upcoming release, as you can tell by looking at the title. 'When Will I Be Loved was a Linda Ronstadt song, and it also characterizes Miller's search for the man who is meant for him, assuming he even exists.

In this excerpt, Holt has sent flowers to Miller, and asked Miller to call him.

Miller was in imminent danger of coming undone. He swallowed, took a deep breath, and tried to keep his voice from jumping an octave. “Good morning... Holt.”

“I was hoping you’d call.”

“Me too. I mean, of course. I mean, I’m sorry to take so long. I’d have called sooner, but...” Damn, he could barely string two coherent words together today. Let’s try this again.

“I understand entirely. You’re at work, you’re busy...” Holt’s soothing voice, rather than calming Miller, poured oil on the flames of his desire. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair, grateful he was alone at reception for the moment. Although it would be a while before he attempted to stand.

“The flowers are beautiful, thank you very much .I didn’t expect them. They’re... they’re simply beautiful.” He probably has no idea what they mean.

“They mean love at first sight,” Holt murmured. “Each shade has its own meaning. I chose those for a reason.”

Damn. He does know.

My Sexy Saturday - When Will I Be Loved

This week's theme is Sexy Forever. What does that bring to mind? Eternal loves? Eternal lives? Eternal flames? Maybe all of the above!

This week  I'm giving an excerpt from my soon-to-be released novel, When Will I Be Loved, which comes out on June 7th, from Amber Quill. It's the sequel to When Will I See You Again.

In this scene, Holt is the vampire in question, while Miller is quite human. But together, they combust. Enjoy!

He could feel Holt visibly relax, as if he’d been unsure of Miller’s reaction. Miller realized Holt wasn’t near as tough as he let on he was. He was reminded what Sarah had said to him—“He has a heart as big as the universe.” Never had true words been spoken.

“You’re everything to me, Miller. I want to spend eternity showing how just much I love you.” He pressed their lips together, and everything else became immaterial in the face of their love. Miller felt a flame inside of him flare to life with the mere touch of Holt’s body against his. He wanted to lose himself in that flame and feel it grow.

“Car...” he murmured into Holt’s mouth.

“What...?”

“Car. Let’s go to the car. Now.” He rubbed himself against Holt, felt a quickening response in Holt’s body, felt his cock begin to harden. “Right now,” he repeated, looping a leg about Holt’s and pressing against him even more tightly, with a growing urgency.

Holt slid his hands beneath Miller’s ass. Lifting him easily, he retraced their steps through the trees, never releasing Miller’s mouth until they found themselves standing beside the sedan. Holt reached for the door handle, but Miller grabbed his wrist.

“No. Right here. Take me here. I don’t want to wait.” He crushed their lips together, his hand snaking between them. He felt Holt’s erection, felt its fullness. He wanted that... inside of him. In the worst possible way.

My Sexy Saturday: When Will I Be Loved

Good morning and Happy Sexy Saturday! Last week, I gave you a peek into When Will I Be Love, my m/m paranormal romance/mystery sequel to When Will I See You Again. Today I am going to give you a different glimpse of Holt and Miller, and tell you that When Will I Be Loved has been contracted by Amber Quill, and will be released on June 7th!  Hooray!

In this scene, Miller and Holt have left Charisma for Miller's apartment. I think the rest is self-explanatory. Enjoy! Then visit the other authors on the hop, whose links follow my tale!

Slowly but surely, the blond unfastened every button on Miller’s shirt. As each bit of bare flesh was revealed, he kissed it, tenderly. The care he took with Miller’s disrobing was without a doubt the sexiest thing Miller had ever seen in his life, and it took his breath away. Passion and desire flamed together inside of him, creating something new, something unrecognizable.

And what was he saying that sounded suspiciously like mine?

Finished with the buttons, the shirt was gently removed and allowed to flutter to the floor. The blond turned his attention to Miller’s jaw line, kissing a slow tender trail along his neck. Miller felt his skin warm at the contact, a white-hot heat that did not burn. He found himself turning his head to allow for better access. The blond’s tongue sucked lightly at the tender hollow just beneath Miller’s collarbone. Miller’s nostrils filled with the scent of the other man. A most intoxicating bouquet, earthy and musky, with slightly floral undertones, like freshly pressed wildflowers. The earthiness reminded him of the sensual aroma of cumin. Somehow he knew he’d never look at that particular spice in the same way again.

“Let’s get you comfortable,” the blond suggested, casting an incredibly sexy, half-lidded look up at Miller. It took him half a second to react as a strong shiver coursed through him, but Miller managed to nod, and once again he was lifted up in those powerful arms, this time carried the short distance to the bed and gently laid upon it. He leaned over Miller, nuzzling Miller’s neck. Miller took advantage of his proximity to plunge his fingers into his honey blond hair, marveling at the soft texture. The blond drew back, and Miller’s hand flopped back to the bed, empty.

“Soon,” he promised, as if sensing Miller’s disappointment, and the smile he gave Miller was dazzling. He turned his attention to finishing what he’d started, this time beginning at the bottom, with Miller’s feet. He carefully removed Miller’s dress shoes and they joined the shirt, followed by his socks. Next, Miller’s belt was unbuckled and unthreaded from the loops, before he turned his attention to the zipper, against which Miller’s erection bulged, begging for release. The blond’s fingers were gentle as he undid the single button, then pulled on the zipper, careful not to catch the fabric beneath in their teeth.

“Raise your hips,” he directed, and Miller obeyed, which facilitated the removal of his trousers, and then his dark blue boxers.

And now Miller lay completely naked, exposed to the view of this exquisite man. One of them was definitely overdressed, and it wasn’t him.

My Sexy Saturday: When Will I Be Loved

It's been a while since I've done this, but here I am with My Sexy Saturday again. This week, I thought I'd showcase a little excerpt from When Will I Be Loved. It's the sequel to When Will I See You Again, and it's actually finished, just looking for the right publisher.

Miller Fenwick wants the kind of love his friend Alexx found with Raoul Marchand. But so far, he's had no luck. After a date that fizzled more than sizzled, Miller ends up at Charisma, and he thinks he might dance. Just see what happens when he's standing at the edge of the dance floor, and he thinks he's being watched...

My Sexy Saturday #19: When Will I Be Loved

Because my current WIP just reached 70k, I think I'll tease you with a little of that. It's the sequel to When Will I See You Again, and it's called When Will I Be Loved. In this scene, we have our heroes, Miller and Holt. I think  you can figure out the rest lol  Don't forget to visit the other authors on the hop!

“Of course,” Holt continued, “I can slow down, if you think I’m moving too fast...” Despite his words to the contrary, he nuzzled Miller’s neck, his tongue lapping at Miller’s skin, producing shivers. “I promised... myself I’d court you the proper way. Take things in the right order, which I neglected to do when we met.” And now Miller was even more aware of that hard cock poking him in the ass.  “I want you to know how serious I am about you, Miller. Please never doubt that for one minute. So maybe we should think about putting on the brakes... for now?”

“Oh hell no!” Miller blurted out. He spun to face Holt, scanning his eyes for some sign he was kidding. Did he really just build him up to a fever pitch and intend to let him burn in misery? Oh please God, no.
Holt seemed too serious for his taste. He had to do something about this. Quick, change the subject. Or just change his mind.

“Holt, I’m all yours,” he swore, taking a half step toward him, which brought them chest to chest and cock to cock. “Look, we’re not exactly kids, and while I appreciate the sentiment...” He reached between them, pressing the palm of his hand against Holt’s hardness—wasn’t turnabout considered fair play? “I see no reason why we can’t still do the whole courtship thing... by the book, by the numbers, by your leave... any damn way you want to do it...just as long as it gets done.” He began to rub against Holt in earnest, felt the moans that shook the other man’s body. “But there’s no reason to give this up. Is there?”

He dared a glance into Holt’s eyes, wondering what he’d find there. Annoyance? Disappointment? Anger? No, what he saw was approbation. And agreement. He also felt waves of desire emanate from his lover, marveling anew at the bond between them.

“No reason in the world,” Holt replied in a lust-laden voice. “But if you don’t stop that now, we’ll never make it back to the hotel, I’m afraid.”

Miller could accept that. He could wait just a little while, knowing that it would happen. Anticipation wasn’t a bad thing. Quite the contrary, it was the most delicious form of foreplay. But, before he had to take a step back and let things cool down...

He reached for Holt’s head, pulled him down and kissed him long and hard. He was certainly growing bolder where Holt was concerned. More comfortable with their relationship. That kiss would have to do for now.

My Sexy Saturday #17: When Will I Be Loved

Good morning and Happy Saturday!

This week's challenge said: Share with us this week those characters who aren't afraid to show that they love someone.

When Will I Be Loved

I thought of Holt Wynne. He's a vampire in my WIP, When Will I Be Loved, sequel to When Will I See You Again. Vampires have a special love, one that is meant to last forever. Such a love is hard to find, so when you find him or her, you hold on tight. Holt's eternal love is Miller.

In the scene I am sharing today, Miller has gone to a meet and greet for the new owner of the Crescent Bay Chronicle, and he sees Holt, and Holt sees him, and the result is... well, see for yourself.

Standing mere feet away was the blond from the night before. Looking every bit as enticing as he had then. Maybe even more so, since now Miller knew what he looked like beneath those elegant clothes.

He seemed to be... agitated? Was that even the right word? And how could Miller even tell that from where he stood.

And why was this girl leading him right toward him?

“Holt, oh Holt,” she cried out in a lilting voice.

Holt? What?

The blond turned his head and his eyes locked with Miller’s, and something quite electric passed through the air between them. But before Miller had a chance to think, to react, to formulate even the hint of a thought, the blond had crossed the space between them more quickly than Miller would have thought possible, put his arms about Miller, lifting him off his feet and into his arms, until their lips met...

And suddenly Miller wasn’t thinking anything anymore.

Now go visit the other authors in the blog hop!

My Sexy Saturday #13: When Will I Be Loved

Good morning and Happy Saturday!

Some of you may have read my novel, When Will I See You Again, which is about Raoul and Alexx. Today isn't about them, though. it's about Alexx's friend, Miller. I am currently penning the second book, which is Miller's book, When Will I Be Loved.  He meets and is drawn to a sexy blond named Holt Wynne. In this scene, Holt speculates that perhaps he's moving too fast. Enjoy! And don't forget to visit the other participants of the blog hop, whose links follow my excerpt!

“Of course,” Holt continued, “I can slow down, if you think I’m moving too fast...” Despite his words to the contrary, he nuzzled Miller’s neck, his tongue lapping at Miller’s skin, producing shivers. “I promised... myself I’d court you the proper way. Tease Me Thursday #16: When Will I Be Loved

Happy Almost Friday! This week is flying by! It's never too early to party, right? So, let's get this party started with a little bit of teasing!

Tease Me Thursday #13: When Will I Be Loved

It's almost Friday, hooray, almost the weekend, time to cut loose and have a little fun, and get teased at the same time!

Some of you may be familiar with my novel, When Will I See You Again, which came out in January, a m/m paranormal romance/mystery. Well, I'm proud to say that I've been working on the sequel for a little while now - and for anyone who likes that idea, y'all can thank Shorty Chelle, who suggested I write a story for Miller. Honestly, it hadn't occurred to me to write any more, but I am thoroughly enjoying it, let me tell you!

So here's just a little bit of When Will I Be Loved. As you remember, Miller is Alexx's friend, the receptionist at the Chronicle, and was  helpful to both Alexx and Raoul in the first book. In this scene, Miller is at Charisma with Alexx and Raoul, and they're on the dance floor together, while he's tapping his foot and looking around for a potential partner. Enjoy! Then go visit the other members of the blog hop, who are listed at the end of my post.

Suddenly, the hairs on the back of Miller’s neck stood up. Not in a terrifying way, but an electric one. As if something magnetic had just made a connection with him. Or was it someone? What the hell?

And now for the others!
