Lust Never Sleeps #16

A piercing scream reverberated through Darryl’s skull. His first thought was that it was Amandine that was frightened of the dark, but her next words removed all doubt as to the screamer’s identity.

“Quit being such a girl, Brushton!”

“I say, no need to be rude!”

“Well, if this isn’t a bitch of an unsatisfactory situation.” That was Sawyer’s voice, cutting through the darkness. Darryl shifted slightly on Sawyer’s lap, deriving comfort from the feel of his lover’s arms about him. Not that he was frightened, mind you, but the whole situation was rather disconcerting. He felt Sawyer’s lips brush lightly along his neck, and his heart rate instantly began to calm at his touch.

“It’s the second wave, isn’t it?” Brushton continued, his trembling voice betraying his perturbation.

“Don’t be daft!” Sawyer chided him. “They can’t get underwater. That’s why we’re here, remember?”

“Oh yeah.” The cow-shaped man lapsed into silence.

Taking advantage of the inability of the others to see, Sawyer claimed Darryl’s lips, sending a tingle through his frame. He responded by reaching blindly for Sawyer. It wasn’t hard to gauge what was where, even in the dark. He placed one hand at the back of Sawyer’s head, the other found his hand, their fingers intertwining, even as their tongues meshed.

Amandine coughed pronouncedly. “We can hear you, you know. Stop that immediately.”

“What do you hear?” the clueless Brushton asked.

“Never mind. They know what I mean, don’t you, my love?”

Any reply that Sawyer might have made was lost inside of Darryl’s mouth, which only elicited a moan from him.

“Elias!” Amandine hissed. “Please don’t tell me you forgot to pay the power bill?”

“My dear, I’m deeply insulted.” As if to prove his point, he hammered his fists onto the organ’s keyboard. At least it seemed that way to Darryl, judging by the cacophony of notes which instantly swelled from it.

As if on cue, a mechanical whirring and rumbling began, and a strange clanking, followed by the return of the lights.  They flickered once, unsurely, before flooding the room with illumination once more. Darryl and Sawyer were caught in mid-embrace. Sawyer’s hand had conveniently snaked inside of Darryl’s trousers. He took his time removing it, to Amandine’s apparent disgust.

“You know you owe me an apology, Sawyer Thomas, and before this night is through, I intend to get it,” the disgruntled woman groused.

“What’s that, love?” the unflappable blond replied, as he and Darryl came up for air. “Apologize? To you? Haven’t you heard?   Love means never having to say you're sorry. Besides, what do I have to apologize to you for? My hand was not down your knickers, and I don’t hear Darryl complaining. Or is that the problem?”

Amandine spluttered like a Roman candle. She tightened her grip about her parasol, her muscles appearing to tense, but before she could launch herself at her ex, her brother intervened, grabbing her arm.

“Here, here,” he protested. “You two can take care of that later. Let’s concentrate on getting out of this, shall we?”

“Was that a generator problem?” Sawyer glanced at Elias with upraised brows.

“You know it’s hard to keep a good mechanic these days.” Elias shrugged, causing his beard to dance.

“What were those things that attacked us?” Darryl interjected. He was desperately trying to get a handle on this bewildering situation. He glanced almost fearfully at the lights, as if his question might triggerthe a return of the darkness. They remained blessedly lit. “And what’s coming that’s worse than those things? What did you call it? The Second Wave?”

“I’ll tell you everything, love, I promise. “ Sawyer gently stroked Darryl’s cheek.

Amandine snorted. “Sweet words, Sawyer, from those honeyed lips.  Too bad you’re so deceitful.”

“Only with you, love. Only with you,” he murmured, unperturbed. “You forget. Darryl’s the one. You’re not.” He held Darryl’s hand up once again, as if for inspection, never releasing it. “We’ve all night to discuss this. Apparently we’re not going anywhere, eh Elias?”

“No, I think it’s best you stay the night,” Elias agreed.

Darryl couldn’t help but stare at the man, now that he had a chance to see him close up, as it were.  He’d never seen so many pockets in his life. Are they all functional? While he watched, the strange man reached inside one in the vicinity of his hip, drew out what appeared to be a piece of cheese, and nibbled on it.

“Do you have food?” Brushton asked, hopefully.

“Aye. In the galley.”

Brushton’s smile at the news was electric. He leapt up from the couch and into the air, as if he were kicking off.  “Sister, come into the galley with me, won’t  you?”

Darryl felt the heat of her ireful stare as she glared at him and Sawyer. “Why don’t you join us?” she asked between gritted teeth.

“Would you care for refreshment, love?” Sawyer kissed the back of Darryl’s hand. If he’d had any thought of food, it fled instantly.

“Not really,” he managed to say, telling his nether regions to please remain in place, this wasn’t the time to be leaping about in such ecstasy.  They paid him no heed, pressing eagerly against his trousers, as if seeking release.

“Thank you for the offer, but I think Darryl and I shall retire,” Sawyer commented. He turned to Elias. “My usual room, I suppose?”

“Of course, of course.  Go right ahead. I’ll be in here all night. “

Sawyer’s hands on Darryl’s ass were almost his undoing. He rose from Sawyer’s lap, with some difficulty, feeling as if the attention of everyone in the room were centered on his swollen crotch.

“That’s our room!” Amandine protested. “How could you?”

“Not for many years!” Sawyer countered.

“Whose fault is that? If you weren’t so afraid of—“ Her words broke off with a sudden cry.

All eyes turned toward Darryl, who was glaring daggers at Amandine.

“He has the power!” Sawyer gloated gleefully.

Guest Blogger Jeremy Jones

Today I am honored and thrilled both to welcome my good friend, upcoming music blogger, Jeremy Jones to Full Moon Dreaming. Jeremy is the sweetest guy ever, and I'm thrilled to present him to you. Today he is going to talk to us on a subject never addressed in these pages before. Do you know anything about furries? Stay tuned - you will. Jeremy and I are here in St. Louis, although normally he calls Arkansas home. Why don't you start, Jeremy, while I grab us some tickets for the next exhibit showing?

Recently, I bought the game "Saints Row The Third", a video game based around the premise of bringing your street gang to power while systematically taking down rivaling gangs. This being the third game in a series that is already known for being completely over the top and outrageous, it was a no-brainer that they add some new insane gags to make people even more interested. The one I was actually kind of excited about (other than Luchadors, but that's another topic for another day) was the inclusion of furry characters. A furry is someone who embraces their animalistic side in a physical manner, whether that be simply dressing as an animal, or taking it to a sexual level.

I was a bit disappointed to find that the furries were fetishized for the game, but seeing as nearly everything in the game, from strippers to luchadors to even pony-slave play, are over exaggerated, I wasn't too upset. It wasn't until I began playing the game online that I found my problem.

"I can't wait to start up the game. I'm going to go and shoot the first furry I see in the face." Really? I mean I know there are a few missions where its the objective to kill them, but such anger right out of the gate? "It's not natural," he defends himself. This lead me to question not only furries, but myself as well.

I consider myself about 60% furry. I like to wear the cute cat ears and tails when I go to anime conventions, and I enjoy the anthropomorphic art that I've found on the internet, but I don't wear the animal suits, called fursuits, and I don't have sex as an animal. As to my "fursona", a kind of avatar visualized either via fursuit or artwork of what a furry believes themself to really be, I only shorten my name to Gaoru, and I am only a kitty boy. That is it. I have absolutely nothing against people who take it further, and I encourage it completely.

The problem is that this guy who I was playing the game with, as well as many others, find this to be unnatural. I had to think about the statement before formulating a response. On the surface, I can see how people could see it as unnatural, but really, it's no different than other internal and mental complications people face. Many people believe that they were born into the wrong gender. Is this unnatural? Sure, you can take a religious standpoint and say that God makes no mistakes, but when it comes down to it, if a person emotionally feels that they're the wrong sex, that's how they feel. The very same thing applies to the more extreme furries. Many of them believe their spirits are animals. Is this wrong? I don't think so. These people, many of whom I'm friends with, legitimately believe they are the wrong species.

His next argument for furries being unnatural is that sex with animals is wrong. Really? You're going to confuse bestiality with being a furry? I'm sorry, but "yiffing" and "fucking your dog" are entirely different. FURRIES DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH ANIMALS. Some do have sex in their fursuits, but it's not bestiality. Going back to what I mentioned earlier, if two people think they aren't really human, and decide to dress as they feel they are, and then decide to have sex, physically it's two humans having sex, and mentally it's two animals having sex. Either way, they're both of the same kind, throwing that argument way out the window.

His final wall of defense was "I just don't agree with it." Well, that's fine. Disagree all you want. The beauty of this country is you can be a douche, within limits, and get away with it. The downfall is that most people don't take the time to gather the facts about something before they start hating on it. I'm going to go on a hunch here and say he's probably never talked with a furry person before. When I was first exposed to it, I was pretty freaked out. The major difference in the two of us is as a gay male, being put through discrimination, I'm more open to acceptance and letting people speak their mind. Sure, there are still types of people I don't like, but my decisions are still based in fact.

Maybe I was overreacting. It was just a video game, after all, but the nerve of someone to just outright say that, and expect anyone, let alone me, to go along with him is just absurd to me. The game was designed to where you can kill anyone you want including cops, strippers, gang members, and ordinary people. They did it on purpose to let the player decide. I'm not blaming the game. Honestly, I don't care much for strippers, but I didn't boot up the game with the sole purpose to kill every one of them I could find. That's not the point of the game.

I may not be 100% furry, but I feel I am educated on the topic enough to speak out. Being a furry is more than a perverted sex fetish. Many people simply believe that's who they are: more power to them. It's OK to disagree or to dislike, because it's in human nature, but I beg of everyone to at least know what you're talking about when you do so.

Jeremy, it's so good to have you here, can't wait 'til you move back to St. Louis. Thanks for stopping by, and telling us about furries. Have any questions or comments for Jeremy? Comment away!

Lawn Boy's back - and RFP's got him!

My very first original m/m story that I wrote has been released by Romance First Publishing, after meeting a disastrous end with Wicked Nights Publishing (I'll spare you the details at the moment). It's now available at the RFP site, at Smashwords and ARe, and soon on Amazon. Lawn Boy is the first in RFP's Love Bites.

When Alan Sherman’s wife leaves him for greener pastures, Alan finds himself with a house on his hands and a yard he knows nothing about. Can the young man from Able and Willing Lawn Care help put the spring back into Alan’s lawn, with perhaps a little personal attention for the homeowner?

Zandalee Review

Zandalee
Director/Studio/Author: Sam Pillsbury/Panorama/Mari Kornhauser
Format/Genre/Length: DVD/Drama/100 minutes
Publisher/Industry Age Rating: R
Overall Personal Rating: ★★★★

One-time poet Thierry Martin (Judge Reinhold) has traded his pen to live the corporate life in his father’s stead, after his father’s death. Unfortunately, the stress has left him unable to cope with the needs of his sexy wife Zandalee (Erika Anderson). When Thierry renews his friendship with wild-child artist Johnny Collins (Nic Cage), can trouble be far behind?

Synopsis:

Zandalee is set against the backdrop of New Orleans, where Zandalee works in the dress shop of Thierry’s grandmother Tatt (Viveca Lindfors). Zandalee is restless, and yearns to have the man she married back again—the poet who inflamed her with his words. Physically frustrated, she falls into a relationship with Johnny, telling herself that it’s only sex. At a dinner party given for Tatta and her long time lover, she and Johnny do it in the laundry room, while her husband sits nearby.

The more it continues, the more torn Zandalee is between her love for her husband, and her desire for Johnny, and it becomes harder and harder to reconcile the two. She urges Thierry to take her away, find time for them to be alone together. By now he more than suspects what is going on, and is helpless to do anything about it. He takes her to the bayou, and tells Johnny where they’re going, with tragic consequences.

Commentary:

This is pretty vintage Nic Cage, and he certainly doesn’t hold back in any way in his portrayal of the bohemian artist who lives by his own rules, and takes what he wants. There is one scene that is very over the top Nic in one of his trademark meltdowns. Johnny doesn’t like to be told what to do, or who to do it with. And he doesn’t care who he hurts. I found Zandalee to be obnoxious and selfish. The person I felt most sorry for was Thierry. His own weakness proved to be his fatal flaw.

It’s an interesting film, worth watching, mostly for Nic and Judge Reinhold. I wasn’t  particularly impressed with Erika Anderson’s performance. Viveca Lindfors as Tatta was good. Look for some interesting cameos—Steve Buscemi working on a garbage truck; Marisa Tomei as one of Johnny’s women; and Joe Pantoliano as a cross-dresser who frequents Zandalee’s shop. I think his was the most interesting character of all.

Good scenery, both inside New Orleans, and on the bayou. Worth adding to your Nic Cage collection.

Lust Never Sleeps 15: How Long Has This Been Going On?

The music wasn’t the only thing that was heading in a southerly direction. So was Sawyer’s hand. It caressed Darryl’s ass, his arm thrown possessively about Darryl’s chest, his breath warm in Darryl’s ear.

Darryl had to remind himself to breathe.

He was drawn back to reality by Amandine’s sarcastic voice. “Seriously, Sawyer, is that necessary? Are you so worried about someone stealing your precious that you have to put on a show everywhere you go?”

Sawyer never faltered in his attentions murmuring loud enough for everyone to hear, “Did you ever notice that the things people hate about you are the same things you hate about them?”

Darryl wasn’t sure what the other man meant. He turned toward Sawyer, his eyebrows raised, a question on the tip of his tongue, but the words were stillborn as he caught sight of his lover’s unaccustomed pallor. He felt a slight tremor running through his body.

Acting quickly, he drew Sawyer to the nearest couch, opposite one in which sat Amandine and Brushton. He seated him on one of the plush red cushions. Immediately, Sawyer pulled Darryl into his lap, and circled his waist tightly.

“Don’t worry, dear, he’ll get over it once he gets his sea legs.” Amandine’s tone was less than sympathetic, although her eyes seemed to soften as she glanced toward her ex.

“Paging Doctor Freud! Paging Doctor Freud!” Brushton declared in what had to be the worst Viennese accent Darryl had ever heard. “Nurse, get a couch ready for Sawyer Thomas. Stat!”

Amandine snorted. Sawyer lifted one hand from Darryl’s body long enough to give her a one-fingered salute, before clutching him just as tightly as before.

The organ music abruptly stopped, as Elias swiveled about on the piano stool. Darryl watched with fascination the way the Fu Manchu seemed to hang suspended on the air, as it wafted toward its owner, settling into his lap in a contented ball. Almost as if it possessed a life of its own.

“You’re so crude, darling,” Amandine smirked. “You can’t keep your secret phobias hidden from Darryl forever. Certainly not here. They’re too obvious, don’t you think?”

“Never mind me,” Sawyer said, his voice betraying none of the agitation which his body had evidenced. “We’re here for the greater good. Everything else is extraneous.”

If they’d been alone, Darryl would have questioned Sawyer until he discovered what the problem was. Or problems. But he didn’t wish to give Amandine the satisfaction, or cause Sawyer the discomfort of asking him in front of them. He’d no idea how long they were going to have to be here. Perhaps there’d be a better, more private, moment to deal with the questions which were racing through his mind.

“Second wave might take a while.” Brushton thoughtfully plucked at one of his udders, until Amandine smacked his hand away.

“Will you take that thing off? You look udderly ridiculous.”

Brushton started to argue with his sister, a huge grin breaking over his face as he cackled in delight, pointing at his sister with a waggling digit. “I get it! I get it! Very clever, Mandy. Very clever play on words indeed.”

“Don’t call me that!” she hissed, her cheeks suffusing crimson.

Darryl felt that a change of subject was definitely in order. He cast about in his mind for something completely different.

“Would somebody mind explaining what’s going on?” he asked. He’d been wondering that for some time now. He suspected that the answer, much like Sawyer, was multi-layered, and not a five minute tale. “I mean, I feel like I’ve walked into the middle of a film, and I’ve got no clue as to what the plot is.”

He heard a heavy sigh, felt Sawyer lean his head against his back. “It’s… complicated, love.”

Big surprise there.

“I’d settle right now for knowing who’s attacking us and why. I mean, what were those things? They were… terrifyingly disgusting.”

“That they are.” Brushton shuddered.

“They’re the inventions of the Polar Extreme,” Elias offered.

Darry furrowed his brow. “Don’t believe I know that name. New political group?”

“Not exactly. More like a scientific community gone mad.”  Sawyer lifted his head, kissing Darryl’s neck. “Don’t worry. They do this on a regular basis.”

“They do?” Darryl turned his head, casting horrified eyes on Sawyer. Careful not to dislodge those very talented lips.

“Don’t worry, love. We’ll spend very little time here, I assure you. Once I retrieve what belongs to me.”

Darryl found Sawyer’s use of the word we very comforting. It sounded like a declaration that he meant for them to stay together. He didn’t know how he knew, but he knew that he didn’t want to be just a one night stand to this man. He wanted to try to make it to forever. However long that might be. Given the current situation, it might not be as long as he hoped for.

“You’ll spend a lot more here than you’d like if Salisbury and Schrodinger catch you going after their diamonds.”

My diamonds,” Sawyer snarkily corrected his ex wife. “And they won’t.”

“Do Salisbury and Schrodinger work for the Polar Extreme?” Darryl tried to circumvent the potential explosion he saw in the making.

“Not exactly.” Sawyer waved a vague hand in the air. “S and S are part of the Guild. But they basically do as they wish. The Guild fathers leave them be as long as they behave themselves. More or less.”

“That’s because the Guild fathers are afraid of those two.” Amandine indelicately snorted.  “Like most of Lust.”

“I’m not afraid of them!” Brushton declared, puffing out his chest. In the cow suit, though, he only managed to look ridiculous.

“What about those things that attacked us?” Darryl tried to steer the conversation back on course.

“Well, you see…” Sawyer began, taking the hand with the red heart, and kissing it reverently. “It all began back in the day…”

His words were cut short as they were suddenly plunged into blackness.

Guest Blogger Aubrey Dionne

Good morning! Today my guest is author Aubrey Dionne, so please welcome her and make her feel at home. She's going to talk about her latest release, Paradise 21. Why don't we all get comfortable, while Aubrey tells us a little bit about the gadgets in her book.

The Gadgets in Paradise 21
Every science fiction book has technological gadgets that do crazy things we only wish we could do in the real world. I had a lot of fun making up the following devices for Paradise 21. Every tool I used furthers the plot in some way, so it’s more than just a bunch of scientific nonsense!

Locators- Integral to the plot, locaters are tracking devices embedded in everyone’s arm on The New Dawn. Locators can be turned off when you eject the energy cell, but to remove it completely risks setting off an alarm. Lieutenant Barliss uses this device to find Aries once she escapes and crash lands on Paradise 21. Ironically, Striker uses Aries’ locator to find the coordinates of The New Dawn in order to get her back.

Ultrasonic tranquilizer ray- Lieutenant Barliss takes this weapon with him to Sahara 354 in hope of using it on Aries. One blast from an ultrasonic tranquilizer ray can knock the target out for days. This weapon employs basic ultrasonic principles. Ultrasonication generates alternating low-pressure and high-pressure waves in liquids, leading to the formation and violent collapse of small vacuum bubbles. This emits a shockwave which tranquilizes the target instantly.

Flurometric pliers- An instrument for detecting and measuring fluorescence, and removing certain particles within that spectrum. Striker uses this instrument to dislodge Aries’ locator. It’s not easy, but he’s the ultimate handy man.
A really neat website that can generate a bunch of science fiction names is Seventh Sanctum.
http://www.seventhsanctum.com

If you could design your own science fiction device, what would it be, and what would it do?

Wow, that's a great question, Aubrey. I think mine would have to do with time travel.

Aubrey, can you give us a little excerpt from Paradise 21?

Taking a deep breath, she punched in the coordinates. The panels went wild, compiling the information. The computer estimated a new trajectory, and she turned on the thrusters once again. The engines rumbled, pounding deep within her stomach.

The inside of the pod rattled. Lifers never used or maintained the flight pods, so she felt lucky the one she’d chosen worked at all. Would the metal skin on this pod hold together as she entered an alien atmosphere?  She could either take the risk, or circle this planet until the New Dawn came back to get her–the New Dawn with Lieutenant Barliss aboard. Holding her breath, Aries activated the final landing sequence. Even if the descent killed her, she’d rather perish on an alien planet than complete her ceremonial obligations.

The restraining bar of her chair shook violently, and she lost feeling in her arms. The air boiled in the small compartment, and her face burned. If she didn’t disintegrate, then her head would burst from the pressure. Tears flicked backward from her eyes while she held on, gritting her teeth. An alarm sounded, reminding her to release the parachute. She tried to move, but the force of gravity glued her hand to the armrest, stretching her skin taut. After counting to three, she took a breath and grunted as she yanked her arm up and pressed the touchscreen, hoping the chute would work.

A bright flash of light blinded her, and splotches exploded under her eyelids. The pod hit the ground, and her world went black.
