Wednesday Briefs: Don't Look Back #30 (6.3)

Hello and welcome to Full Moon Dreaming! It's Wednesday, so it's time for some flash fiction from the Wednesday Briefers! We're a group of authors who write a little bit of fiction every week - between 500 and 1000 words - inspired by one of our prompts. Come in and join us for another week!

In last week's episode of Don't Look Back, Marshall had the vibrating butt plug used on him by Lee - and he was a given a special promise in return. Tonight's the night Marshall is gonna get his heart's delight in a night like no other! Don't forget to visit the other Briefers, and see what they're up to. Their links follow my tale. Enjoy!

Don't Look Back #30 (6.3)

Mid-morning the next day. Both men sat at their respective computers, working. Marshall lifted his ceramic coffee cup, brought it to his lips, only to discover the damn thing was empty. Setting it down, he pushed back in his chair, stretched his arms and flexed his fingers. They cracked with small popping sounds. Guess he’d been sitting there a spell without moving, engrossed in what he was doing.

“I’m getting some coffee, y’want some?” he offered, glancing at Lee.

Lee angled his own cup back and looked inside. “Since you’re getting up, sure, that sounds good. I could use a refill.”

Marshall rose, wincing slightly. He remembered now why he’d been limiting his movements. His ass was more than a little on the sore side, a combination of having worn the plug all day and night, and being gloriously pounded into oblivion by Lee the night before. He’d briefly considered getting one of the throw pillows from the couch to cushion his ass, but decided he’d rather live with the slight discomfort than give Lee fuel for smart comments.

Besides, every little ache was a reminder of last night, and that wasn’t such a bad thing. He shuffled across the room and reached for Lee’s mug.

“What’re you grinning about?” Lee asked.

“Oh, nothing. Just thinking about last night. And what’s gonna happen tonight.” Tonight would be his turn, the first time he’d ever topped in their relationship. And oh man, did he intend to wring every bit of enjoyment from it he could—for both of them.

Without warning, Lee pulled Marshall onto his lap. He set Marshall’s cup beside his own, freeing Marshall’s hands even as he wound his own about Marshall’s waist. Marshall laid his hands against Lee’s.

“This will be a first for both of us, you know.”

Marshall realized that, which only served to heighten his anticipation. It seemed only fitting. He’d given Lee his virginity, and now Lee was offering his own. The very thought of being inside of Lee was… intoxicating.

“I hope you know you’re everything to me,” Lee murmured into Marshall’s neck. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, to make you happy, keep you safe.”

“I know that, and I feel the same way.” Marshall sighed and relaxed into Lee’s touch.

They sat together, simply holding on. Marshall’s ass didn’t even bother him in this position. Or else it had gone numb. Reluctantly, he realized he needed to get up when he felt Lee shift beneath him. He turned his head, looking directly into Lee’s dark blue eyes.

“Should we set a safeword for you?” he asked.

“For me?” Lee sounded surprised.

“Well, yeah. I mean, I have one, shouldn’t you?”

Lee chuckled softly. “Darlin’, there’s nothing you can do that’s gonna hurt me. Trust me. Besides, I trust you with every fiber of my being.”

Marshall understood what he meant. Although he had his safeword, he’d never used it, never had to. They knew each other too well to let anything get out of hand. Even in the throes of passion.

“How about that coffee you promised?”

Marshall understood the unspoken words that always lay between them—they were the bedrock of his existence.

“Coming right up, old timer,” he quipped, and was rewarded with a light swat on his rump. But a carefully placed one, at that. Marshall grinned all the way to the kitchen.
* * * *
Marshall spent a great deal of the remaining day focused on the night to come, unable to concentrate on anything but the culmination of his heart’s desire. He wanted tonight to be perfect—for both of them. The question was: how could he do that?

Visions of implements flashed through his mind—an inventory of the toys they’d acquired over the past couple of years. Although much fun was to be derived through improvisation as well. They had a very active sex life, and were not averse to trying new things. But what was appropriate for tonight?
In the end, Marshall decided he wanted nothing more than Lee, himself, and some lube.  Good thing they’d stocked up when they were in San Antonio. Sometimes they ordered it online.  That wasn’t exactly something you could pull off the shelf at the local grocery store. At least not for what they wanted to use it for.  Of course, there was always Tucker Falls, which was a little more sophisticated than Burnham, as evidenced by the existence of Partners, and they sometimes availed themselves of its proximity when they were out on the town.

Marshall was determined this was going to be the best night ever. And not just in bed.

While Lee worked on restoring a hard drive someone had shipped to them, Marshall gave up any pretense of working.

“I’m heading up to the store to pick up something for dinner. What would you like to drink with it?”
“I dunno.” Lee looked up from his work table. “Whatever looks good, I guess.”

Well, that didn’t help.

“Wine or beer?” Marshall tried to narrow the choices down.

“Beer’s good. Maybe see what kind of ale they got in?”

Marshall could work with that. This time of year, they might even have some of the seasonal stuff. He jingled the truck keys in his hand. “Be right back.”

Once at the store, he stood in front of the meat counter, looking over the various cuts of meat before selecting two nice-looking sirloin strips. He could grill those, with some vegetables. He chose asparagus and two ears of corn, then decided against baked potatoes as being too heavy. He found a twelve pack of seasonal ale and carried his selections to the front. Nothing sweet—Lee would be dessert.

“Romantic dinner?” the checker asked with a knowing smile.

“Yes’m,” Marshall replied, unable to keep from smiling at the thought.

“Ah,” the checker sighed, “why are all the good ones taken or gay, or both?”

“I’m afraid I wouldn’t know.” Marshall laughed.

Excerpt:
“You don’t have to stay here with me,” Liam murmured.
Sean twisted the cap off Liam’s root beer and pressed the condensation-slick bottle to Liam’s hand until his slender fingers curled around it.
“I know,” he responded, studying a drop of moisture slipping off the bottle to make a damp trail along Liam’s hand.
“Guarding me?” After propping the bottle between his thighs, Liam licked the drop that had traveled to the pulsing blue vein of his wrist.
“I can be around you without being part of your protective detail.” Sean swallowed past his suddenly parched throat. The man had no idea how seductive his innocent movements were.
Liam reached out until his hand was on Sean’s thigh. “Just giving you a hard time.”
You have no idea.

Cover Reveal: Hearts on Fire

This post is part of a virtual book tour revealing the cover of Alison Packard's newest book Hearts on Fire which will be released on February 3. One randomly drawn commenter via Rafflecopter will receive a $10 Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift card. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.

Country music star Jessie Grant has it all. An amazing voice, a string of multi-platinum albums, and a sold-out concert tour. But just before her Hearts on Fire tour rolls into Las Vegas, her lead guitarist is badly injured and is unable to play. Desperate to find a replacement before the night of a televised live show, Jessie is forced to accept help from the last person on earth she wants to see again.

Drew Carmichael has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best up-and-coming musicians in Nashville, without cashing in on his renowned father’s name. When Jessie’s manager calls and asks him to fill in for her band’s injured guitar player, he agrees to help Jessie out even though she cut him out of her life four months ago.

In Sin City, sparks fly between Jessie and Drew, and it isn’t long before they give in to their mutual attraction. But when the dark past Jessie has successfully hidden for ten years explodes in the media, their tenuous bond is put to the test, and both Jessie and Drew must learn to trust each other if they don’t want their newfound romantic relationship to go up in flames.

Enjoy an excerpt:

Jessie Grant stared at the cheery yellow wall in her dressing room, and fought the overwhelming urge to throw something. Anything. Her agitated gaze fell on the lovely vase of flowers that had been delivered just before the show, and she had to remind herself that violence, especially towards a perfectly innocent bouquet of pink roses and white calla lilies, wouldn’t solve anything.

But then again, it might relieve the tension that was coiled inside of her like a tightly wound spring.

“Calm down.”

“Calm down?” Jessie whirled around and met the exasperated eyes of her manager. “You expect me to calm down when my guitar player, who, unbeknownst to me, was half-wasted during our set, and decided to stage dive into the audience.” She pointed a finger at him. “That broken arm of his isn’t gonna to heal in four days. I need another guitar player, and I need one now.”

“Relax,” Wally Lindell said in a soothing voice. “I’m working on it.”

“How are you working on it?”

She propped her hands on her hips and gave him her best glacial stare. It didn’t faze him. It never did. He’d been her manager since she was fifteen years old, and he knew her better than anyone. So he should have known that she would be totally freaked out about losing her lead guitar player four days before her exclusive gig in Las Vegas, after all, he was the one who had dubbed her a perfectionist.

“I put in a call to Drew.”

Jessie’s already churning stomach lurched wildly. “Drew Carmichael?”

“How many other guitar players named Drew do you know?” Wally shot her a wise-ass grin.

Only one.

“So you talked to him?” she asked, as she moved to the make-up table. She picked up the bottle of water her stylist had left out for her and took a sip. Maybe the simple task would soothe her frayed nerves.

It didn’t even come close.

“What did he say?”

“I left him a message. He hasn’t called me back yet.” Wally shoved his hands into the front pockets of his black jeans and looked her straight in the eyes with an unflinching directness.

She’d seen that look before; the one telling her that while she might be the star, he was the one who’d gotten her there, and before she went off half-cocked, she’d better let him have his say. And of course, she would. She respected Wally far too much not to listen to him.

“He’s the only guitar player we can get on such short notice that knows your set list,” he continued. “I don’t know what happened between the two of you, but whatever it is, you need to put it aside for the sake of this gig, and maybe the rest of the tour.”

“What makes you think something happened?” she asked with feigned nonchalance.

It was best not to let anyone, especially Wally, know how much she cared about Drew.

“Because you two were as thick as thieves last spring, and now it’s like he’s dropped off the face of the earth. Did you have a falling out?”

“No.” Jessie scowled, as she returned the bottle to the table. “We didn’t have a falling out. I’ve been on the road for months now and he…he’s got a life.”

A life that didn’t include her.

Wednesday Briefs: Don't Look Back #29 (6.2)

Happy Hump Day! If it's Wednesday, it  must be time for some flash fiction from the authors of the Wednesday Briefs! We take our inspiration from our prompts - visual and words - and give you flash fiction between 500 and 1000 words! Come on in and see what's going on this week!

In last week's Don't Look Back, Lee plugged Marshall with a vibrating butt plug, then put him on simmer... and man, is this day long! Plenty of fun with your favorite couple! Don't forget to check out the other Briefers, whose links follow my tale. Enjoy!

Don't Look Back #29 (6.2)

Marshall thought dinner would never end.
It felt like everyone they knew in Burnham—which was practically the whole town—had decided to eat at Milly’s that night. And every one of them had something they needed to say, a story they had to tell, or a question that just had to be asked.

The situation was exacerbated by random pulses shooting through his ass when Lee touched the remote, which he’d brought with him. Of course, Marshall could have told him to stop that and Lee would have, no questions asked. But Marshall wasn’t about to do that. It was torture, sure, but of the most exquisite kind. And Marshall knew if he endured it, then his reward would be all the sweeter for having done so.

At least when Roy invited them back to his house to shoot a little pool, Lee graciously declined the invitation, citing pressing business that needed to be taken care of. Roy shook his head at them good-naturedly, and just grinned.

Good thing dinner didn’t last any longer than it did. Marshall’s legs were almost jelly by the time they got up to go. His ass was on fire, and every nerve ending he possessed was on high alert, in anticipation of what was to come.  Lee held out his arm to give him something to hang on to, but Marshall stubbornly refused. He saw amusement glint in Lee’s eyes, as well as admiration.

They arrived home in record time, and made a beeline for the bedroom. No more waiting, no more foreplay, no more anticipation. The moment of truth had arrived.

“Undress, boy,” Lee directed, and Marshall wasted no time in obeying, his fingers fumbling at every button, his arousal so intense he could almost taste it. Lee also stripped, down to his own bulging erection, evidence of his desire for Marshall. He pointed to the bed, and Marshall lay down, bending his legs, and spreading them apart for Lee’s benefit.

When Lee removed the butt plug, Marshall felt an emptiness, an ache that demanded to be filled. He bit back the whimper that threatened to spill from his throat, but he was sure his eyes reflected his neediness. Not to mention, Lee could read him like a book.

Lee knelt between Marshall’s legs, laying a tender kiss on either knee, as he inserted two fingers inside of Marshall. “Damn, boy, you’re ready for me, aren’t you?”

“Sir, yes Sir,” Marshall agreed. “Aren’t I always ready for you?”

“Hell  yes, you are.”

Lee teasingly licked along the inside of one thigh, down the length of the leg to the crease. He twisted his fingers inside of Marshall, eliciting a moan.

“You did good tonight, boy,” Lee praised him.  “You deserve a reward. What would you like?”

Marshall was conflicted. On the one hand, he’d love to take Lee’s fat dick into his mouth and suck him off until he screamed. But on the other hand, his need to have that cock inside his ass, fucking him hard, was pretty strong.

What he didn’t expect was for Lee to offer him Door Number Three. The chance to do something he’d often dreamed of, but never been allowed to do.

Lee removed his fingers from Marshall’s channel, then stretched himself out on top of Marshall, their cocks rubbing deliciously together, as he murmured in Marshall’s ear, “How about tonight I fuck you to your heart’s delight and tomorrow night, I let you fuck me?”

Well, knock him down with a feather…

Marshall had dreamed about this moment for such a long time, he was sure he must be hallucinating. Hearing what he wanted to hear. But no, those words had actually come out of Lee’s mouth. He’d actually made the offer.

Was there any question what Marshall’s answer would be?

Heart beating almost out of his chest, he responded in a voice thick with lust, “Yes Sir, that sounds perfect.” And then Lee’s mouth crashed down on his, and he was consumed once again with love for Lee.

Marshall arched up into Lee’s embrace. He locked his ankles at the base of Lee’s back, rubbing against him almost frantically, his need growing stronger by the second. When they came up for air at last, Lee moaned, “Roll over and grab the headboard.” Marshall wasted no time in obeying, kneeling on their pillows at the head of the bed.

Lee pressed up against Marshall. He pulled Marshall’s hair back from his ear and sucked the earlobe into his mouth, even as he reached around him, caressing his chest and nipples.

Marshall thought he might lose his mind if Lee didn’t get inside of him right now. He ached to be filled by Lee’s cock. He hungered for him more than he’d ever thought it was possible to want someone.

“Lee,” he moaned, unable to suppress his need.

“Yes, baby,” Lee murmured, as he thrust up inside Marshall, filling him completely.

“Yes!” Marshall cried. “God, yes.” He gripped the headboard tightly, pushing back to meet Lee’s thrusts.

“Not deep enough,” Lee declared, after several minutes of intense exertion. He slapped one of Marshall’s cheeks. “On your back,” he commanded, withdrawing, to Marshall’s chagrin.

Marshall slid quickly onto his back, his eyes pleading for Lee. Lee lifted Marshall’s leg, placed it on top of his shoulder and re-positioned himself inside of Marshall. The new angle meant he could thrust harder and deeper, and Marshall moaned his approval with every breath he took.

This was what Marshall had been waiting for all day. This was the main event for which the vibrating butt plugs had only been the warm-up bout. All the sweet agony he’d endured every time Lee pressed the remote was worthwhile, justified by this moment in time.  Even sitting through dinner plugged and unable to do anything to ease his agony.

“Goddammit, Lee, I love you so much.”

Lee’s lips made further words unnecessary.

Excerpt:
(The excerpt is from estrus (or heat) for Dale.)
“Keyno! I liked that shirt.” I gasped as his knuckles brushed against the hot, sensitive skin of my chest as he pulled the ripped shirt off me. “You are hell on my wardrobe.”
“Pants, Dale,” Keyno growled, his breath coming in short bursts, his hair twisting against his back, reaching for me.
I tugged on the pants that were determined to cling to every curve, holding up the process just to drive me nuts. Wiggling around on the bed, I kicked them off, knowing they were in jeopardy of being torn off me, too. I had taken my shoes off in the flyer because I was at the point where anything on my body was more than I could stand.

“I can’t wait, Keyno,” I whined. The throbbing in my body had turned into an ache that threatened to sink its teeth into me at any moment. “It’s getting worse. Do something.”

Virtual Book Tour: How to Kill Your Boss

This post is part of a virtual book tour organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. One randomly drawn winner via Rafflecopter will receive a $25 Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift card. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.

How to Kill Your Boss is only $0.99 during the month of January. Pick up your copy today!

When Tatum’s daydreams of murder become a reality, all fingers point to her.

In Tatum Wood’s opinion, murdering her boss on a daily basis within the safety of her thoughts is better than therapy. Until he takes a swan dive off a building and all evidence points to her. Thank goodness she has Franklin Reed. Her mysterious, overprotective and drop-dead gorgeous coworker is all too eager to play hero. With two attacks in her building and her stalker with a penchant for roses, Franklin’s injection into her life couldn’t have come at a better time.

As Tatum and Franklin scramble to discover who’s behind the murder, secrets are unearthed that question his motives…as well as his identity.

Enjoy an excerpt:

Franklin rose, lithe and poised, from the chair. He turned toward me and offered a hand. “Pleasure to meet you, Tate.”

Tate? Nobody had called me Tate except for my father and the assholes in high school. One-Date Tate. The nickname and the curse followed me like a perpetual shadow through most of my academic career.

I would’ve corrected him, but when his full mug came into view, my tongue curled up and shriveled. My IQ dropped thirty points. Again, I quickly averted my eyes. I had no choice. They threatened to pop out of my head. There was good looking and there was gorgeous. This man played in a league that put both of them to shame. “Pleasure meeting you,” I managed to stutter. With grace comparable to a drunk college freshman, I grasped his hand and gave it one good shake. When I tried to pull away, he squeezed tighter and caressed a thumb across my knuckles.

My girlie parts twitched. No joke. I needed to leave before I left a puddle of desire on the floor between my feet. Holy cow, I’d never been affected in such a way.

“The pleasure is all mine.” Franklin tilted his head as if inviting me to admire him.

Nope. No way. I would not look into those eyes again. The way my body reacted, I’d end up sprawled naked across the desk with a rose between my teeth. I reclaimed my hand and jetted through the door.

Tease Me Thursday #43: Don't Look Back

Brrr, and a chilly Thursday it is! Winter seems determined to remind us it's here - as if we didn't know that. At least it's not snowing here, except for a very little bit yesterday that didn't amount to anything. So now we're one step closer to the weekend, so it's time to be teased, right?

Seven words, seven sentences, seven paragraphs. Just a little bit to whet your appetite!

In this week's snippet from Don't Look Back, Lee brings out the remote control vibrating butt plug, and it's down to business. Although it's a waiting game they're playing, as he keeps control of the remote and keeps Marshall on simmer all day!  Enjoy!

“Now, bend over and spread’em,” Lee directed.  He set the remote aside and pulled the lube from the drawer in the bedside table.

Marshall obeyed and bent over the bed, his forehead touching the bedspread, his hands going to his backside, spreading his cheeks.

“Such a pretty sight,” Lee murmured, coming up behind him. He felt Lee’s lips lightly press a kiss onto his pucker, before he slid the lubed plug into position. It fit snugly in Marshall’s channel.
